K-FOOD MOMENT ✨
K-FOOD GRAND AMBASSARDOR
- Grand Ambassador 2023
Jessie Nelson
My name is Jessie Nelson and I’m from Silver Spring, Maryland. Cooking, cultural, exchange, and food content has always been a hobby of mine, especially making dishes from different cultures and sharing them online to inspire my friends and followers. So when I heard of K-Food Nation and the K-Food Supporters program for the first time, I knew it would be a perfect fit for me.
Upon receiving my K-Food Supporters Box, I had so much fun completing the different missions, coming up with creative ways to use ingredients, and learning new ways to upload my content to the world! In addition, becoming the 2023 K-Food Nation Grand Ambassador has granted me the opportunity to try many new things, including flying on a plane for the first time in my life, to visit Austin, Texas for the 2023 K-Food Nation Grand Finale. I am eternally grateful for this program for all of the wonderful memories, as well as the confidence it has instilled in me to continue my journey as a food content creator.

It made me have a broader spectrum of foods because I didn’t know there were so many flavors of just one item. So that made me want to try even more! With the ingredients inside the box, I made Kimchi Fried Rice and I was able to share that with my friends and family. They liked it and some of my family members thought it was spicy, but they still enjoyed it. I was excited, but a little nervous because I didn’t know if it was going to turn out right. Then everybody enjoyed it so I was happy! My favorite food items were the little instant soups because they were savory but also really refreshing. Korean food is very adventurous because some foods are sweet and some are spicy and some are in the middle, so there’s a whole spectrum of flavors that you can try.
My goal [as Grand Ambassador] is to share K-Food and make everybody try it and enjoy flavors that they might not have tried before.

Mike Drake
Hello, I’m Mike Drake, the first and original Grand K-Food Ambassador. The fourth K Food Supporters competition is set to begin and I want to thank you all for both your participation and your interest in telling the world about the magic of k-Food! It’s heartwarming to see K-food becoming more mainstream in the US, from kimchi topped hotdogs to topokki popping up at street fairs Seeing shoppers rush to Trader Joe’s to get the latest gimbap illustrates how they have fallen in love with K-food.
When I go into my local H-Mart or Wonder Pig, I see more
“first time” customers ready to embrace the wondrous delights that K-Food offers.
I wish you all success as you compete in the fourth K Food Supporters competition, and I look forward to being joined by our fourth ambassador.
